COVID-19 Pandemic - online yoga teaching and the start of our courses
A challenge arose when Robin was traveling in Australia to visit her dad's side of the family, as the pandemic hit. With support from Active Gloucestershire, who funded her new virtual yoga classes for teens, she was able to continue her work remotely. This also marked the launch of their first pilot course for adults working in education, training them to practice yoga and share it with their students.. Read more

Arts and Wellbeing Festival. The start of ‘Shift’
While at art college on an art foundation, Robin began creating art with her body, capturing movement in a large installation piece called Shift. She wanted to explore how movement impacts us, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. Her intention was to capture the tangible shift in headspace and outlook that one experiences before and after a yoga class. Read more

Inspiring the next generation of UK’s youngest yoga teachers'
Through her weekly teen yoga clubs, Robin inspired the next generation of young yoga teachers. Florence Cross (Flo) completed her 200-hour training at just 15 years old and is now a certified instructor running her own business, 'Floga.' Robin and Flo also developed a peer-to-peer course to train young people to become wellbeing ambassadors, teaching their peers yoga tools within schools. Read more

Alpaca Yoga 🦙
A local Alpaca farm near Stroud, asked Robin to do some Alpaca Yoga, initially hesitate but after seeing how well behaved they are, she decided to give it a try and it was very popular, with 20 people joining every week and even BBC radio 1 came to film it and interview us which was a bit of a viral hit on Facebook! Receiving the Princess Diana Award
Robin received the 'Princess Diana Award' which is said to be ‘the most prestigious accolade a young person can receive for their social or humanitarian work’. The event was held at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff in recognition for making positive changes in my community. Read more

Teaching yoga in Prisons
Robin taught yoga for over a year at Eastwood Park Women's Prison. She received specialised training from The Prison Phoenix Trust during a five-day residential course, where she learned specific practices and adaptations for teaching yoga in prison. The focus was on trauma-sensitive yoga, an approach that continues to inform her teaching today. Robin believes it’s crucial to teach in a trauma-informed way with everyone, as it ensures a safer and more accessible experience for all participants. Read more

Robin became the UK’s youngest yoga instructor and started ‘Bliss by Robin’
During her first year of A-levels, Robin completed 200 hours of teacher training with master yoga instructor Charlotta Martinus at Universal Yoga in Bath, Somerset. The training required Robin to travel to Bath for a long weekend once a month over nine months, with strong support from her school for taking on this additional commitment. Read more

Robin took up a 10-week mindfulness training with her mum
The mindfulness course Robin attended with her mother sparked her interest in personal development and showed her firsthand how mindfulness can help build and sustain healthy relationships. She noticed a ripple effect in her life: as she felt more at peace internally, her relationships became more harmonious and balanced. Read more

It all started when Robin discovered at 12 years old how meditation could change her life.
Robin first encountered meditation during a summer holiday visit to her father in Scotland. She learned to meditate by a waterfall near his home, a peaceful place that became a refuge. Through meditation and later yoga, Robin discovered invaluable tools that helped her rebuild her self-esteem and confidence after enduring years of bullying. Read more
