Tash’s Story:
I started out as a Geography teacher and took my first yoga class in 2010. I've been teaching yoga since 2017 and at the start of the pandemic I set up my sole trading business and spend my days teaching yoga to adults and children in schools, studios and 1-1 settings. It is a privilege to work with diverse communities in my work, and I am passionate about making your yoga practice work for you.
Yoga Strengths
My teaching style is primarily informed by my advanced training in Yoga Therapy at Yoga Medicine, a holistic approach to class planning that brings therapeutic benefits. As a lifelong student, I am continually learning from my experiences, guides and teachers on this path. My approach mixes the following: Vinyasa-style Yoga - flowing, fluid yoga flows that are inspired by the seasons, anatomy and themes. Myofascial Release - therapeutic self massage using balls or rollers to target facial layers in the body & acupressure points. Deep rest - one we ALL need in today's society - soothing the parasympathetic nervous system with Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga and meditation. Pranayama - using the breath to deepen our practice, expand our lungs, and generate lifelong health benefits
Interesting Facts:
I have worked abroad for a year in Canada teaching yoga at Mahakala Retreats and living in a van traveling.
I am recently finished renovating a house with my partner and have a dog and love to go for daily walks. In October 2024 I gave birth to my baby boy, Franklin.
Why are you passionate about being on the Shift Team?
I started Calm Club and wanted to make more impact and when I met Robin we realised our businesses had a similar mission and values and decided to create more synergy and efficiency and combine! I am passionate about sharing yoga with young people and improving the wellbeing provision in education.
